After spending hours roaming through the Amer Fort in Jaipur, I exited and started walking down when I heard girls giggling behind me. I looked back and noticed a group of cleaning ladies just getting off of work, dressed in their beautiful, lovely blue uniforms. Just as they gathered for a photograph, an elephant and his trainer came lumbering down the way. Perhaps this is what the Amer Fort really used to be like, long ago…
